The Fitchburg Historical Society historic provides tours of Fitchburg on a trolley to school groups and organizations.
We hire a MART trolley for these tours, and provide a tour guide for the entire trip.
- The maximum number of people which can be seated in a trolley is 28. This includes your chaperones.
- We will pick up and drop off at a location you name. The MART trolley does have to be paid from the time it leaves the MART station until they return there so our bill to you will reflect their bill. They charge $40/hr.
- The Historical Society charges $40/hr for the tour guide. This includes the research and preparation for the tour, the giving of the tour and the administration fee for arranging for the tour and the trolleys.
- Tours generally take 1 ½ hours but you may arrange for less or more time.
- Tours are available Mondays – Thursdays. Any other request for time is dependent upon availability of staff.
- We appreciate a 30 day advance booking for tours.

- A confirmation letter will be sent to you once a date is settled upon. Payment must be arranged ahead of time. A bill will be sent to the appropriate party after the tour is completed, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
